I used to own a café, a dream my wife and I poured our hearts into.
Then life demanded change.
COVID19 hit & MCO landed.
That evaporated our savings fast.
Thankfully, an insurance payout helped us stay afloat.
But the real storm came later.
My wife’s hand was cut badly during a busy dinner rush.
We thought it was minor.
Turns out her tendon and nerve were cut.
Operating Theatre was not available in the Government Hospital
So I rushed her to a private one.
“If you’d delayed any longer, she might have lost her nerve functions”
Said the surgeon.
The hospital bill came out to a High Five Figure.
And with our savings gone, this could have destroyed us.
But thank God, insurance saved us one more time.
